An advanced thermometer/hygrometer capable of measuring indoor and outdoor temperature, as well as relative indoor humidity. The large easy to read LCD acts as a receiver unit for a separate outdoor sensor unit. It will record max and minimum temperatures for quick referral and conveniently displays the time of day. Ideal for temperature or humidity sensitive environments such as museums, greenhouses, or to check if your home and office is too dry or moisture laden. The LCD receiver unit is capable of receiving information from up to 3 sensor units, which are available separately (see part no XC-0324)

In the position in the house I want to use it, the Jumbo Display In/Out Thermometer is not an option, despite it being far cheaper; I cannot have a cable to the “out” location. So I was forced to pay over double the amount and get this one. I bought this a few days ago, so I haven’t had a chance to test it thoroughly. So far it has performed faultlessly, well within the ± 1 degree accuracy stated in the manual. When you make changes, it has to settle down for a few minutes. For example, moving the out-door probe; when you take inside wait for a few minutes to get in “in” and “out” matching. It takes a bit of getting used to, not helped by the JayCar description being so very wrong!
