Provides a useful alert alarm when movement is detected in a driveway or entryway. The PIR motion detection has an effective range of up to 4-8m, and can transmit to the indoor unit up to 50m away. Battery powered so there’s no messy wiring, while intelligent design provides up to 2 years of battery life. The indoor unit features a courteous chime with high, low and off volume, as well as an LED alert and low battery indicator. Includes adjustable mounting bracket for the PIR unit for optimal positioning and mounting hardware. 6xAA batteries required.

It won't pair, then it won't stay paired, then I can't get it to pair again. The steps to set it up are pretty simple, so when they're not actually working, there's not much I can seem to do about it. Pretty useless so far!

Good for alerting us to prowlers.

We have had this for years, and use it on our driveway to alert us to visitors ( primarily unwanted ones at night - just had another last night which prompted this review) It has been very effective at deterring prowlers on several occasions. Cameras show you if someone has been there - this tells us immediately they are there, and the prowler hears the alarm as well and leaves immediately. We tend to turn it off during the day when not needed. Took a little adjusting of angle to get it so cats didn't set it off, but we are getting another.

It beeps when it shouldn't, it doesn't beep when it should. This eliminates its purpose and is more useful as a door stopper.
