With this feature-rich weather station, you will be able to see real-time local weather conditions and predicted weather forecasts for that day and the next three days. The outdoor 7-in-1 weather sensor is solar powered and sends rainfall, temperature, wind direction and wind speed, humidity, UV and light intensity data wirelessly to the indoor display from up to 150m away. The large backlit colour display shows all the relevant weather information you would expect, along with the indoor temperature conditions, date, time, moon phase and much more.

OK. But with some big flaws.

BagpussJanuary 2025

Christmas present. Set up mostly straightforward but could be simpler. Display viewing angles still terrible. Currently on a shelf just above eye level and hard to read. Disappointing to say the least. Had a big storm 2 nights ago. Instrument massively under recorded wind speed. Was gusting to 90kmh, but only 35kmh recorded. That's totally Schmitt. A toy rather than a scientific instrument .

Very poor device for the dollars paid.

Newo59March 2025

I brought this item to replace a similar Digitech weather station. Setup to the internet was very difficult. Had to jump through serious hoops to connect back to Weather Cloud basic service. Cannot see screen without tipping the unit a long way forward, on the fridge impossible!!!!

Terrible display viewing angle

PedroJanuary 2025

Not a bad unit over all. Simple set up, and seems pretty accurate so far. 2 stars is because the display has terrible viewing angle and there doesn't appear to be any way to adjust it. The XC0440 which is the model below this one appears to have viewing angle adjustments, but this model does not. It is virtually unviewable unless you are looking at it from the top down. It doesn't matter if it is wall or desk mounted. I am rather disappointed and I am having serious buyers remorse.

Not reliable

DurdlesNovember 2025

Have had this unit for 18 months. The Temperature/Humidity sensor has failed. This unit was complicated to set up and the display is very difficult to see. Not reliable and poor design.

Any of the apps are a nightmare to set up

Ann from NorthlandNovember 2025

This was bought for me as a gift a week ago. I managed to set it up alright and the outdoor unit is speaking to the indoor display fine, however, after a week I still cannot get any information from it to any of the weather apps it says it uses on the boxing. All are third party apps and in the case of Weather Underground, which I have used on a previous station, it is a fourth party player as you need it to send the info to yet another app and have that app send the info to WU - from what I can figure out. As it is I haven't been able to link it to any app. It appears to need its own IP Wi-fi address, but when you're logged on that wi-fi of course you can't then access the app to complete the registration of the unit. It took forever for me to figure out how to even get it to accept my GPS co-ordinates for the Southern Hemisphere. REALLY, IT SHOULDN'T BE THAT HARD!!! No app should be that hard. And it's really hard. If I can't figure it out then it needs a nerdy tech, cos I can usually figure things out eventually. So I am really not happy with it because I want to see what's going on in the app on my phone.

Worked until it didn’t!

PeterJuly 2026

Worked fine until 18 months in when transmitter failed. No option for repair, no extension of the warranty by Jaycar. One of the most expensive units in the market, disappointed to say the least. Maybe it would have lasted longer if I kept it indoors!

Disapointed

NolifestyleblockJanuary 2025

Have had this for just over a year and works ok until wind gets up over 25-30km/hr, then wind reading goes to 0. Stays that way for a few days even after wind abates and then eventually starts reading wind speed again. Not worth the price tag.
