A great type C OTG

January 2024

Sits in my Car, always handy to easily transfer files to and from USB stick, very handy to connect to USB keyboard or mouse or other accessories

Charging only!

This cable isn't suitable for data. This cable really shouldn't be sold here as these cables are typically used for external drives. I ordered an actual data-capable cable for 5 dollars less and free next-day delivery and it worked straight out of the box. Jaycar should really vet their products better.

Doesn't work

StuartJanuary 2026

Bought to connect a hard drive to a Mac that has mostly USB C ports. The hard drive power light went on, but the Mac didn't recognise it. Tried going back to the USB A cable that came with the hard drive - it was fine. Tried a different USB C to micro B (3.0) cable - it was fine. Swapped for another identical cable, which also didn't work. It's going back for a refund; guess I'll have to opt for a USB C to A adapter instead.

don't waste ur time with this product

Exactly the same story as these other reviews - I bought this to connect a external hard drive to my mac, and the light on the hard drive comes on, but the computer doesn't read it. Have tried a usb A to micro B with adapter and it works fine. Terrible, unreliable product.
