Think Twice Before Buying Swann
I purchased the Swann EVO Wireless Video Doorbell in Christchurch store. The doorbell itself works, but when I tried to purchase the compatible Swann Chime accessory, I discovered that it is not available to buy separately in New Zealand or even from Australia. I contacted Swann customer service (Case #2956751) to ask how they could sell a product without making the essential accessories available. Unfortunately, they were unable to help or provide any solution. Their response was simply that they couldn't assist me. It is very frustrating to invest in a product and then find that you cannot purchase the accessories needed to get the full experience. Good after-sales support is just as important as the product itself, and Swann has failed in this area. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this brand. If a company cannot provide proper after-sales support or make replacement parts and accessories available, customers should consider other brands that stand behind their products.
Good entry level doorbell cam
Brought to add to our existing hardwired Swann cameras at our workshop. This doorbell cam integrates into the same Swann app as the hardwired cams and works pretty much flawlessly. Good angle of view, you can see packages left at the door unlike ring or others we have tried.
Battery lets it down
I have used this product for over a year now. The device used to run for 2 weeks before needing recharge. Now the battery has degraded to 3 days. I do not feel the battery is specified as entirely suitable for an outdoor environment.
