Have fun turning them off every night!
Returned twice. Set it up, solar panel in the sun. Worked for about 5 days both times. While the J car staff tried to be helpful, they said the problem might be that I wasn't turning them off at night, therefore totally draining the battery. Wait what? All other solar powered lights, in my experience, seem happy to not be turned off and just recharge the next day. It says nothing here or on the box that you must turn them off every night. What a waste of time. I'm new to Jcar but this has made me think these products are for the type of people who turn off solar lights, before they go to bed early at night. Not for me!
Very poor
Bought this product yesterday. Wasted 2 hours trying to get it working. Attached all 15 bulbs then charged via USB cord. No bulbs worked. Readjusted the bulb to make sure it fitted well and made contact. Switched a few bulbs in the unit. Hey presto the bulbs glows great. Until…….. we tried the remote control. All lights went off. Then pressed another button, only 5 came on, then none, then 4. Not a reliable product at all. Absolute waste of 2 hours. I will be returning this product today.

Great lights - faulty battery/solar controller
These festoon string lights have a problem. They die after the first use. I have bought and returned 2 sets within 2 weeks with the same problem. They work beautifully only one night after charging up, then no amount of recharging in full sun will get them to work again. I checked with a multimeter and no voltage comes out of the controller once they have failed. Jaycar is fantastic with their exchanges and returns as they stand by their products.
Poor Quality
I purchased these lights and installed them near our back fence line. They lasted 3 days. I took them back to Jaycar who exchanged them for another set. The next set only lasted 2 days. There was heaps of sun and no apparent reason for them not to work. Disappointing.
Poor product
Purchased and set lights up. 1st night they lit up and looked perfect. Went thru all the different colour settings no problems. Next night I couldn’t get them to turn on. Took them back for a refund cause I had no confidence in taking a new set home and taking the time to set up again and ending up let down.
Only lasts 1 night
Bought these a little while back, finally got to install them. Worked great night 1 and now won't turn back on. Useless product!

Never worked. Looks like water leaked onto the pcb and corroded it, explains all the other similar reviews
