Arduino Compatible

This board is essentially a Wi-Fi controlled relay that you can trigger with an App from anywhere in the world (requires configuration of modem and knowing your modem IP address). Ideal for home automation, IoT, lighting control projects, and much more. The board measures just 45 x 28mm and features an ESP8266 module and microcontroller, screw terminal blocks to make wiring easy, and a 5V relay to control power to devices that draw more current than an ordinary development board can handle. A 4-pin header enables you to provide 5V power directly or to connect to the TX and RX serial port debug pins.

Can be programmed via XC4464.

Can be converted to be used in ESPHome

JackBSeptember 2026

Never used it in it's main state - thought i could flash it for ESPHome and gpio trigger the relay. How wrong i was! I should have watched the youtube vid to learn the ESP sends UART message to trigger the relay board. So get it working better by using e.g. Homeassistant, flashing ESPHome to it (i used a separate usb to esp01 flasher thingy with a button), and then using the yaml below (or just get Claude to help): uart: tx_pin: GPIO1 # TX rx_pin: GPIO3 # RX baud_rate: 9600 ... switch: - platform: template name: "relay" turn_on_action: - uart.write: [0xA0, 0x01, 0x01, 0xA2] turn_off_action: - uart.write: [0xA0, 0x01, 0x00, 0xA1]

Not for the faint hearted.

I bought this module a month ago. I followed the instructions provided but it would not work. The WiFi connects OK but the phone app will not connect. I finally tracked down some helpful information on video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbQN7sOpbLU If you buy this unit, be prepared for an interesting discovery adventure.

Good but needs a new ESP-01

The main board does what it's supposed to, but the ESP-01 module it comes with is crap - only has the capability to open and close the relay, not to connect to an existing network. If you buy this I'd recommend buying a separate ESP-01S module to replace it. I rewrote the firmware just 5 times before the antenna conked out.

IV brought 5 of these every one doesn't work. I can connect with tcp app but the hex commands just don't work. They used to be web based access and they worked.
