Great value PETG

Slow3DAugust 2026

I have used Slic3D black PETG Lite for prototyping and found it highly effective. I now use it to print functional everyday items. It is both affordable and effective. I have used both the generic PETG and the CR-PETG filament profiles on my K2 CFS and they print well. I believe the CR-PETG profile produces a slightly better quality print, but they are comparable in quality for the most part. I found the spool diameter to be slightly too small for use in the CFS. While it prints fine, I have experienced feed issues with similar sized spools, in the past, as the filament becomes less and the spool weight reduces. Consequently, I have created a CFS adapter for the Slic3D spool. My free adapter is available on Cults3DI have used Slic3D black PETG Lite for prototyping and found it highly effective. Slic3d PETG Review

Layered Craft StudioJune 2026

Surely this cant be that bad, is what i thought going into this. So i bought 10 mixed colours but mainly white and black the previous week, had few personal projects that needed PETG filament. Started of drying white PETG, orcaslicer tuning, and voila found myself the perfect settings. Used that as a base for all my printers with a lil tweak here n there. All in all much nicer than some of the bigger named brands of PETG filament and locally available filament.

Good quality filament by Jaycar

JunkHouseAugust 2026

I won a roll of this filament through a contest, Thanks Jaycar. I don’t normally print with PETG. I set up a profile in my slicer and printed some RYOBI battery holders and was very happy with the results. The spool was well packaged and wound nicely I haven’t had any snags. Overall a good experience and now when I need PETG I’ll be buying Slic3D again it’s good value and quality.

Superb. Super happy with the results!

I was quite apprehensive to print with PETG as I’ve only ever printed with PLA on my Bambu A1. I found a model that I wanted to print but it required PETG as it would get hot with a light globe inside it. I took the plunge and I’m so glad I did. This Slic3D filament printed perfectly straight out of the box with zero drying. I’m in FNQ so it’s pretty humid year round so I got the dehumidifier running in my print room, got the humidity down to 30-35% and everything printed perfectly! I used Generic PETG filament setting in the slicer, that’s it no other changes. I can’t wait to print more models with this filament from Jaycar. Amazing for the price too.

Best petg filament

TwiggyMarch 2026

The best petg filament I've used, lays down really nice and has a nice shine, used it straight out of the box and no moisture at all unlike some more expensive brands, very happy

DO NOT BUY!

SCOTTYMarch 2026

Stay far away from this stuff. It's either very wet or has a very bad diameter. it printed ok first go and on the second go has completely exploded my hotend on the X1C, and don't damage to the lidar housing. when I say exploded, I mean it! the inner tube of the hotend is bent and the thermistor wires ripped out which has left the nozzle dangling. it looks like when the cutter attempted to cut the filament it has squished rather than cut ( likely too large diameter?) and started this chain if chaos. there's no profiles available for this material either it seems. other companies have much better filament for a similar price with profiles! this has cost me close to $100 in damages. not happy.

Great value for money

Nothing but good prints from this filament. It's strong and has a slight sheen to it. It's my go to for anything functional and really well priced.

what?

Example: bob27January 2026

I saw this at my local jaycar and saw the price and went what? this filament needed to be dried before using it, but after drying it it printed almost perfectly with some slight stringy whisps. I checked the diameter of the filament using calipers and was pleasantly surprised to see that the filament only varied +/- 0.03mm at the extremes, the surface finish of this filament is on par with esun's filament
