Bad selection of games

January 2024

Comes with very few games that I actually recognised but has a lot of cheap knock offs instead. Putting your own games on it is harder then it needs to be as it only accepts games in a very odd format as well.

Great concept, poor execution

InquisiJanuary 2024

This product has been very successful in the past, and while I understand no longer being able to sell them with the licensed titles, there is no way it should be the same price as the unit that had thousands of official games on it. Needs to be sold at a lower price point to justify the extra work to obtain proper games.

Its okay but the previous one was better

1PestJanuary 2024

The games on this retro arcade console are worse versions of classic arcade games, it has a hard to navigate menu and long loading times. No where near as good as the original 'Game On Friends' brand Jaycar used to stock.

Lacking library

My friend bought a retro console from you guys and it so many more good games on it, all the games on this I've never heard of.

Solid construction, but horrid software

GustreesDecember 2024

I brought this when it was on special at $60, down from $300. Had I bought it at the normal price, Id be absolutely fuming. The physical construction of the unit is fairly solid, and the controls are nice and receptive with 'zero delay' between button push and action. However, the software running this is totally horrific. Of the 157 games that come with it, youd be lucky to find a dozen or so games you recognise off the bat. You can add games to it, but in a seperate folder which doesnt combine with the already preinstalled games, so when you search for the games you have to keep going to a seperate area. The layout and graphical interface is shocking and you cant customise it at all to make it any more visually appealing or functional. When you do add games to it, its not as straight forward as it should be because its very finicky on what games it will accept. If I could rearrange the layout and customise it/tidy it up I could give it a higher rating but with no way of customisation anywhere its pretty much a dead duck. Theres plenty better out there.

Robust and Expandable

PeterJanuary 2024

This unit comes with very few, unengaging games. However, newer games can be installed to the MicroSD card. Unfortunately, instructions on how to do this are vague at best. Sturdy construction that has withstood months of abuse.

Doesn't Last

PTKROApril 2025

Owned this console for just over a year and used it a handful of times which would have equated to likely no longer then 3-4 hours of use. Then one day the picture no longer works. Swapping out cables made no difference. The unit powers up but produces nothing on the screen. Tried multiple screens but no luck. Told it was out of warranty. $250 wasted.

No retro remember.

SmeeeJanuary 2025

Was told imagine all the old retro games you knew and there in it so bought it. The only retro game from my past is Galaxian and that’s pretty good. The rest are rubbish and nothing I knew. Also the pac man copy is too hard to play as the change of direction doesn’t work well enough on the up and down command from joystick. Pretty disappointed and glad I only paid $49 in the sale.
