Got rid of the whine on AUX in a VE Calais V.

CommodorenutOctober 2024

Had a horrible alternator whine when trying to stream from the phone into a BT adapter, plugged into the AUX in a VE Calais V. Tried filtering the power supply (BT adapter is USB powered) but that didn't work. Local Jaycar rep suggested this. I was dubious at first, after seeing 2 negative reviews, but I went straight out to the carpark, plugged it in, and problem solved. Worked perfectly for my situation, and great value too.

Great product, highly recommend. Does the job.

I bought this recently, it works a treat. I had some wireless interference coming from my home router, which was interfering with my PC speakers. It was like buzzing, ticking interference noise most liekly from my home internet wifi router. This filter fixed the issue for me, now there is no more interference noise! Just make sure to plug it inbetween your aux line input/output. For both home domestic and automotive applications.

I bought this to stop a buzzing noise coming from my desktop speakers when I plugged my Switch into them via a aux cable. It works perfectly, I don't know what the guys who gave low reviews are talking about.

Solved my problem.

RejpJuly 2026

I bought this in hopes of eliminating high-frequency noise from my motherboard's soundcard into my mains-powered studio monitor speakers (high pitched whine that changes when dragging windows around or moving the mouse). It worked perfectly. I had other, more expensive solutions lined up but didn't need to go past this step. This cheap little transformer solved my problem completely. Some people claim these affect the audio quality, but I can't hear a difference (apart from the lack of horrible noise!)

DO NOT BUY

Quite simply, they DO NOT WORK. I purchased 6 for a variety of installations, all let a massive amount of buzz through from laptops. Absolute rubbish.

Operates within normal parameters!

Provided it doesn’t fail - I’ve only had it a day - it delivers the desired outcome in two separate applications so might have to buy a second rather than move the unit.

Did what it said on the tin.

I had the guy in the shop do a continuity check from gnd to gnd on both connectors, they're electrically isolated. This product removed the annoying buzzing from my pc to amplifier when moving the mouse around. It's a bit bulky, but meh... doesn't matter

Eliminates unwanted noise!

I left my original laptop charger overseas, all other replacement chargers I have used introduce noise on the audio out. This device miraculously takes it away. I had been putting up with it for about a year should have bought this sooner.
