Not quite as stated

JonoDecember 2024

Sold as having 5v 2amp usb ports which equates to 10w of power. However true output is roughly 1w and in some cases usb devices discharge instead of charge while connected. I do think this deserves a recall.

OK Kit, value

MarkJanuary 2026

Good value in kit. Making leads and purchasing controller separately would be more $ plus time to make. PWM are not suitable for lithium, require MPPT for that. I suspect the lithium for this unit are the USB sockets. I have charged phone, tablet and power packs so far with no issues. Charging flooded LA and AGM from panel through unit, appears OK so far.

NOT fit for purpose advertised/recommended

StellaJuly 2024

This controller was recommended to me when I bought a lithium battery, upgraded my current system with AGM batteries. Although the box and the staff says it is suitable for lithium batteries I later found PWM controllers are NOT suitable and will probably damage your very expensive batteries over time. You need a MPPT controller. Staff seemed to know what they were talking about but everything online contradicts them and the box. Waste of money. Very annoying.

Excellent value!

This is great value for what’s included. Controller, leads, clamps. About to buy another for a project. *not using on lithium batteries, if I was spending that kind of money on battery I would be looking more up market. But great for all others.

So simple even if can use it. Clip leads in place, Connected to deep cycle and starter batteries, detects voltage and charges battery. 4.5m extension cable a useful added bonus
