A budget printer perfect for beginners

I purchased an Ender 3 V3 SE for my nine-year-old son just prior to the holiday season, and it has proven to be an outstanding investment. Not only does he absolutely love it, but the learning opportunities it has provided are invaluable. Within a short period, he mastered the art of 3D modeling in Blender and honed his skills in slicing with Creality Print. Watching him enthusiastically engage with the printer while acquiring essential skills in 3D printing technologies has been a rewarding experience. Highly recommended for those wanting to get into 3D printing and young minds eager to explore.

simple to get going

Dead simple to setup and run. Works with Cura via USB-C cable with no need to configure anything. Be hard to beat this printer for the price

Great purchase!

We brought this product 2 years ago, and used it quite often, making all sorts of products and toys for our children, after having a break for almost a year, we pulled it out and it's still going strong. Would totally recommend this product!

Average printer, awful support and documentation.

While the printer is good for a beginner, the Creality slicing software doesn't fully support it. It does not send the code to the printer to heat the head when printing is started so nothing comes out and I could find no mention online how to rectify permanently. Additionally, while it has a USB C port, you can't connect to it and print via it (yet you can with Ultimaker Cura). The Creality support and documentation is very lacking and in some places confusing. I would not purchase again. In the meantime, I find the Ultimaker Cura slicer far superior to the Creality one.

Poorly built consistently poor performance

Brought 2 first one lasted less then a month and but replaced now the replacement has consisted errors and sounds like a jet engine. The second one I had brought is still working but prints are not the best quality but at lest it still works

Very solid beginner's option

Bought for my friend who at the time was brand new to 3D printing. Auto calibration options enabled him to take out out of the box and start printing within 20 minutes. It's been about two months now, and he's still very happy with it. I do suggest some modding for it, as it does have some minor design flaws such as poor part cooling, but I only have minor gripes with the machine from an expert point of view, and it opens the doors for some fun, easy tinkering to introduce makers to the 3d printing hobby.

Don’t waste your time

Had 2 in 6 weeks both had faults which seems really common jay car won’t fix them but can order parts that may repair but can take up to a month after taking nearly 2 weeks to find out what maybe the issue. Warranty is terrible and very long for parts/service

Purchased a Creality Ender 3 V3 from Jaycar

Purchased a Creality Ender 3 V3 from Jaycar Palmerston based on very helpful instore advice - and that advice was perfect for a printer for my daughter. within a few minutes of assembly this printer was ready to print, auto-leveling provided successful prints, one after another. The guys at Jaycar know this product very well with example prints on display and very good guidance. Very happy we purchased this printer and filaments
