Won't last

GaspodeDecember 2025

I have owned 5 of these, including the ones I got when returning faulty ones. They work well for a while but all of them have failed within a year. They invariably start to swell after about 6 - 8 months, after which they don't hold charge as well and become dangerous to use. Never use a swollen power bank. The only good thing is that Jaycar typically replaces them as faulty under warranty but that's not saying much.

Puffed up and store would not accept it

NerdperkerMay 2025

I had one which I used to travel with a lot. Was in the outback and it was quite hot, as Australia is. When I went to use the powerbank it had puffed up and was bulging. It would not charge after this. Tried to go back to the store as it was less than 9 months old but was told that they only have a 3 month warranty! Even though it was cheap (I got it on sale) it was not worth it. I have a second one that has been kept inside and at room temperature that works fine. The facts are that these are not "portable" unless you are in air conditioning all the time.
