This 100W Solar Blanket, will keep a battery supported Brass Monkey Fridge/Freezer running for the entire trip without the need for mains power or a noisy generator. The blanket is designed to connect directly to Brass Monkey Fridge/Freezers with a Lithium Battery and solar support. Lay the blanket in full sunlight on the ground, across the car bonnet or other suitable surface, and plug it directly into the fridge via the 2.1mm DC jack. Small tie down loops around the blanket can be used to secure it and prevent it from being blown away in a strong wind. The blanket folds away flat for easy storage.
Note: This Solar Blanket is only designed to work with battery-powered Brass Monkey Fridge/Freezers. It should not be used to directly charge any battery, as there is no voltage regulator. Incorrect use will damage batteries. Not intended for permanent outdoor installation. Note that this is not intended to be a completely-off-grid solution, and will supplement powering the fridge from external sources only.

Keeps the fridge going!
I bought this product recently in preparation for a trip away, and decided to go this way as I would only be running a fridge from a solar setup. During the day, I laid it out to top up the removable 15.6ah battery that I bought with the fridge. Its an awesome system, plugging straight in to the fridge solar input to keep the fridge cold and the battery topped up to power through the night. Its a flawless set and forget system that didn't let me down once during my trip to Hawks Nest.
Not too bad but...
TLDR: perfect for starting out and specific applications, but not much else. I've brought this solar blanket a while ago along with a Powertech 42ah power station. I've used it camping a few times and in all honesty it works for what it needs to do, it charges my power station. It is lightweight and portable so perfect for travelling. However, it is definitely not the best solar accessory you can get, it takes a full day to charge the power station and only comes with the 1 plug which is only suitable for a few specific applications i.e. powering fridges with a battery and charging mini power stations. Overall happy with the quality of the blanket but is suitable for very specific purposes.
Should be rated 40watt
100watts is totally unrealistic. I know they aren't ment to get near 100 but I'm getting a max of 20watts. My 250watt gets near 210. So I'm a bit annoyed that this. In direct sunlight on multiple occasions hardly gets to 25watt. Have emailed incase I got a faulty unit but no reply.

Easy to set up and pack up. with a compatable fridge and the battery installed just open it and plug it in! Super Easy, folds up small and far lighter than some models on the market.
Excellent for running fridge where no power
This solar panel is an excellent way to run a fridge for a day trip by the beach or river where there is no power. It is important to note a battery must be installed in the fridge for it to work.
Underpowered.
Works, but I’m combination with the brass monkey battery, it doesn’t keep the fridge or freezer cold. It’s very underpowered. And with a poor controller in the fridge, it doesn’t help even if also plugged into an external 12v source. I’d just buy a 3rd party solar system in hindsight and avoid the brass monkey battery and solar. Would be both cheaper and better.
