Decent cheap multimeter, amazing value for money!

bob27July 2024

The accuracy isn't great, and it doesn't have any special features like a backlight or buzzer, but for the $9.95 I paid for it, it is a crazy deal, Very useful as a second meter for when I need to measure voltage and current at the same time. The quality of the meter itself is decent, It's made of plastic but the plastic feels solid and durable, but the test probes are pretty bad, the wires will disconnect from the tip of the probes and need repairs pretty often, they should add some glue to hold the wires more secure.

Cheap multimeter

AndreyJune 2024

This unit is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. It's alright for something cheap, it'll get you through a project or two, but it's very much a temporary fix style multimeter. It is not autoranging, it is not True RMS, it does not have a continuity buzzer, and it's cheap plastic. But above all this, it does work reasonably for a cheap piece of kit. It's not great, it's not terrible, it's okay

Perfect for repurposing

Thom48August 2026

Needed a cheap voltmeter for a homemade adjustable power supply, this is a 3v device so I used a junk box 7805 plus 3 diodes to output a regulated ballpark voltage to power it. No magic smoke and working fine. Barebones multimeter with epoxy blob chip and a likely hard to replace fuse soldered in place.

Great useful test meter

SeamusOctober 2025

As a trades man I have two of these as (stand byes). One in my glove box and the other in the kitchen draw.. Pretty good performance for a cheap multi-meter. Saves me going to my main tool box ( for a professional one)when I just want to test a battery or a grandkids toy etc

Great spare unit, for me!

spare meterFebruary 2026

I needed a 'cheap' spare multi-meter. Small to fit in the glove box, calibrates well with my main meter! Only thing I did was to put in Duracell batteries, instead of supplied batteries, likely zinc based battery!
