Perfect replacement for cigarette lighter.
Used to replace a defective 12V accessory plug in my ford focus which I was only using to charge my phone anyway. Fit the hole that the original plug used perfectly.
Beware the On/Off switch
The on off switch does not latch. Every time you get back in the car and turn on the ignition you have to turn the charger on manually again. Can be annoying
True Fast Charging
Just received this and installed it into my camper van. Comfortable manages 20 volts on my 12 volt system when fast charging (cables rated to 7.5 amps - another Jaycar purchase). Have set it up to receive power when I flip a wall switch some distance away and it does NOT require me to press the button on the face of the charger each time (not sure why one of the reviews says that he needs to press the button every time - faulty unit?).
Fast charge
Quality product with super fast 3.0 charging. I’ve wired it to the ignition so it turns straight on unless I choose to turn the charger off manually. Highly recommended. Mechanic.
