Designed for soldering and desoldering all types of surface mounted IC, PCB, or components, and features an innovative heater and sensor that provides a quick heat-up and rapid temperature recovery. The unit will immediately enter into Working Mode when you pick up the handle, and return to Standby Mode when you put the handle back into the holder. The control unit has two LED displays with controls to the set temperature and the actual tip or nozzle temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit. The soldering/rework functions can be operated independently of each other. The heat gun can be calibrated from 3L/min to 24L/min and is supplied with 3 extra heat-gun attachments for different size components and jobs. Spare soldering iron tips are available separately.

Hot air great for instrument repairs
I bought this for doing musical instrument repairs where hot glue us used to apply new woodwind key pads. Ive only used it on low heat 220 degrees and medium air flow and it works fine. Cut off function is great feels safe. Have only used hot air so far so dont know about soldering function.
Perfect Soldering Iron & Heat Shrink Blower
I purchased this soldering iron so I could complete lab work at home from university and complete work projects from home. I have loved it, it heats up to 320C for leaded solder in seconds and 380C for unleaded in approximately 10s. I prefer to use it over my Weller at work. The reworker ive used as an accurate heat shrink heat gun and it has been very convenient. Old mate saying its underpowered either isn't using flux (Recommend Caig brand rosin soldering flux from jaycar) or needs to go to specsavers.

I bought this to replace an old TS-1578 reflow station, but this is underpowered, takes a long time to heat up and doesn't deliver sufficient heat to melt a small glob of solder.
