Works as expected 100%.

SneggJuly 2024

I bought this a month ago to digitise some old family videos. It worked perfectly. I just connected up an old vcr player via yellow/red/white rca component cable, and plugged in a usb stick, hit play on the vice, the button on the little black box, then came back when the tape finished, and voila. The recording is as good as the tape quality, so the memories are preserved. Brilliant.

works well

Product is very easy to use. one button to capture strait to a USB stick. other products require software and a computer to process it which this product doesn't

Easiest way to get from VHS to digital format

ș̸́̒̆ã̶̰m̷̫̱̫̒̚January 2024

Far more convenient option than the USB capture cards that require software to use. I highly suggest using the HDMI port to monitor the recorded output to observe the quality. There are limitations involved with the USB/MicroSD card, you may need to try a few sizes or format operations before one agrees with it.

The simplest system for converting VHS to Digital

TomiJanuary 2024

I use this device to convert VHS cassettes to MP4, you can pickup VHS players easily second hand and plug this recorder in. Unlike a video capture card you don't need a high power pc to get perfect video, just add an HDMI, TV and a USB stick and you can get great recordings every time.

Item works but the picture quality isn't the greatest does tend to downscale the picture

Absolute junk

Wbh8November 2024

Absolute junk! Any slight imperfection in the video (which many old videos will have) stops the recording. Sound is usually several seconds out if it even records sound at all. Massive rip off for the price!

Don't buy

This thing is an absolute piece of junk. Doesn't work, stops recording after a few seconds and encoded file is distorted with poor audio. Taking it back.
