Cannot recommend product

Jaycrew69January 2024

I bought these as a cheap set of earphones to use temporarily with my phone for music until I could find another replacement. The product was of obviously poor quality, which I had anticipated; all I needed was for them to produce reliable audio. The metal sleeve covering the 3.5mm plug slid free on first use exposing copper wire. Initially, the sound was fine, though would hear a crackle or static occasionally with small rotations of the 3.5mm which I haven't noticed in higher quality earphones. There was also a strange metallic/ static noise every time putting one in one the earpieces. The microphone was a bonus and I used it during several calls with friends; on asking they said my mic sounded fine. After a few days, one side of the earphones started dropping out and it would take some rotating of the plug to bring it back. After about a week the problem was exacerbated to the point where I couldn't leave my phone in my pocket without losing one side of audio consistently. I received a warranty swap for a new pair after about a week and the second pair suffered the same issues, though lasting approximately 2 weeks before they became unusable. Despite the price, I cannot recommend this product for any purpose except perhaps in a desperate situation as a one time use.

Impressive Earphones.

Yes they are easy to break if you stretch the cords, but with care mine keep on going a year on. Just bought some Sony MDR-EX15AP for $18 thinking they would be better. Listened to a few songs with deep base and high treble. To my shock the cheaper Digitech earphones are a LOT better. Sony sound hollow and tinny, Digitech are just as clear but make the music come alive. I mostly listen from a PC. Just a Jaycar Customer.
