A compact entry warning system is designed for use in shops, restaurants, doctors and dentist surgeries etc. to alert you to the entry of customers and visitors. The system consists of a send/receive unit which transmits an IR beam across the doorway onto a prismatic reflector mounted on the opposite side. The beam is reflected back to the receiver to complete the circuit. When a person walks through the beam, the circuit is interrupted and this causes the alarm to sound an audible warning. The warning buzzer can be mounted in any suitable location up to 10m away. Mains plugpack and mounting hardware included.

Faulty within a year

JVNZJuly 2024

This is the second purchase of this for our shop. The second now has the same fault as the first. The sensor become faulty and goes off when no one is there, constantly. Enough that we turn it off, defeating its purpose. Wont be purchasing again

Good until it's not.

I've been through three of these in two years - they work fine until they don't. If there was any other affordable option in my area, I would buy it, but this seems to be it.

Way over priced, Should be free.

Never been more disappointed in a product before. The time I've spent mucking around with it I might as well have paid someone to announce the arrival of a customer. Its like having a dog that barks at falling tree leaves in autumn. Seems to detect ghosts that are invisible to the naked eye.

Chiming on ghosts

mntfceAugust 2025

Was easy to setup and easy to install. Then the chimes began. A lot of false chimes. The sensor seems to pick up car, sun or lighting reflections from the surroundings. Had to return.

No good

First one lasted me for about 2 years and became faulty, kept on beeping non stop. Bought a second one 4 months ago and became faulty already.

It’s fine for a while, then just chimes continuously for no reason. I’m on my third replacement, they last about about 9 months
