Poor product
The connections are solder only, however the positive pin will NOT hold solder. A solder blob can be set up but when a wire is attached, the solder blob just pulls away. Abrading the positive connection does not help. Don't know what material is used for the positive pin, but it is certainly not solder friendly. The negative connection accepts solder with no problems. Do not waste your $2.50.
Don't bother
Don't waste your time with this cigarette lighter plug. The cigarette lighter plug has no screwable terminals so needs soldering; however, the solder does not stick to the positive terminal so it's good for nothing. Not sure why Jaycar is still selling this item?!
