Not suitable for high current applications.
On the positive side - it didn’t burst into flames! The whole body melted without blowing the 150A fuse. It might be OK with ferrules crimped into the wires, but if you were going to that trouble it would be far better to use crimped lugs and a fuse holder with bolt terminals.
Death Trap
This thing caught on fire and nearly burnt down our caravan. Jaycar is irresponsible by leaving this death trap on the market. There has been 2 other reviews showing the chared remains of this product yet it is still on the market. This should be recalled immediately
Used it with a 200a fuse and the case melted before the fuse blew.
Please don't buy - really a hazard.
Do not buy! It overheated and melted the fuse and my cable. I'm lucky it didn't start a fire. Why? The connection to the wire is not via lugs, but has little screws into the threads of the cable. This is a terrible way to make a connection. Jaycar need to pull this product ASAP. Surprising they are still selling it. This is dangerous.
