Great little unit - but not for long term maintena

GregSeptember 2024

Bought a couple of these just to top up and maintain the several SLA batteries I have kicking around. The Lithium function is also handy for a couple of spotlighting batteries I've got. Goes well, but one big gotcha for me. It would have been ideal to leave connected to a motorcycle battery over the winter, keeping it maintained and ready to go in spring. But, unfortunately, you need to press the start/mode button if it ever loses power. So there's a chance you wouldn't notice this after a power cut, and your battery would be quietly dying even though it's connected to a plugged in charger.

Good charger but Bluetoothing not straight forward

NickoJune 2024

So far I have been very happy with this charger apart from the poor technical support. HINT - When trying to use Bluetooth download the App 'BT Charger 2.0', then when near device use 'Search' on the app and you will be given several options - choose the MWLF-CCO75LCDBT option. This took a lot of research but finally sorted it.

Not as good as I hoped

AlexJanuary 2026

Bought this to charge the 12.8V 7Ah Lithium Deep Cycle Battery and to use as a power supply for HAM radio. The power supply function works very well, the battery charging + Bluetooth app however, not so good. Provided instructions are unclear about connecting via Bluetooth, Bluetooth setup: Open BT Charger 2.0 App, press +, choose LB60Pro from the list, password is 123456 (as quoted on this site but not in the instruction manual!). Charging seems very slow, unsure how long it would take me to charge my 7Ah LiFePO4 battery despite being told in store this was the charger to use and would take about an hour to fully charge - it's been more than an hour and the charge hasn't moved past where it began.

No Android Bluetooth app

RosscoOctober 2024

They don't tell you Bluetooth connection is only available if you have an Apple iPhone. There is no google Android app.ive tried Jaycar link, google Play store and Jaycar support enquiries but no one returns my enquiry and there is no android app. FALSE ADVERTISING...😡🤬

Not yet sure about this one

P38aroverFebruary 2026

I bought this last week so I’ve had it 6 days. I only got to try it yesterday but it didn’t go well. Although the description above talks about an easy to read screen, parts of it have impossibly small text that one needs a magnifying glass and even then it’s difficult. I couldn’t get the Bluetooth to work so I called tech support but they couldn’t help. The phone app doesn’t detect the charger. Tech support couldn’t help with a suggested selection from the list. I eventually found it today on the website (LB60 Pro, password 123456). Without the app, I couldn’t select lithium as my battery choice. Oh, I still can’t get it to recover a 12v lithium that won’t charge. After a bit more use, I’ll update my review.

Not easy to use, substandard 'copper' cables.

TonyMay 2025

Microscopic text size on the screen which has no back light. Very unintuitive to set up. Battery leads are copper coated aluminium! Beware of anything with Powertech written on it as Jaycar quality control is non-existent. The manual needs to be re-written by a technical editor.

Packs Punch!

Matt DJanuary 2024

This massive charger packs a great punch and recovers my 200ah of powertech Lithium batteries very well. Disapointed that when you disconect mains power you have to reset it to the correct battery type to start charging again.

Don’t buy the 7-Step Intelligent Lead Acid (MB3902

richardMarch 2026

I recently got an electric clock going, that runs off 6VDC. 14 days I decided to recharge the battery; I have 2 SB2495 batteries that were also bought at Jaycar. I put the battery on charge and the 7-Step Intelligent Lead Acid (MB3902) said 75% full and immediately the green LED went on signifying it was full! I have another charger (MB-3527 bought at Jaycar) that signified it was not full it it went on charging for about 30 minutes or an hour before it indicated the battery was full. Don’t buy the 7-Step Intelligent Lead Acid (MB3902).
