Works poorly over long Ethernet runs.
Both this model and the 8 port model work perfectly fine over short cable runs. However, over longer distances, I have found that they cannot achieve the advertised Gigabit speeds - instead falling back to 100Mbps. I've been able to confirm this by removing these switches and connecting directly to my firewall through the same Ethernet cables that these switches refuse to do more than 100Mbps over, and testing the speeds using iperf3. With these switches, 100Mbps. Without - Gigabit. Quite disappointing, and very frustrating.
Been very handy
I purchased this a few years for my many ethernet needs. It's currently using 4/5 ports for all my devices and has been brilliant.
perfect for my needs ...TV etc..
it is easy to set up using the number one port for the router to ethernet. the other ports are the extions .. work really well
