1 Year Warranty
This pure sine wave inverter is capable of providing 2000W continuously, with a 2400W max power start for 10 seconds and a 4000W surge. Ideal for powering microwaves, power tools, TVs, and other power thirsty devices when you are away from mains power. It features two standard 240VAC mains outlets as well as a USB port (2.1A) to charge USB devices. To avoid your 12V battery going flat, a low voltage alarm will alert you when the battery voltage reaches 10.5V, and then shutdown the inverter when the battery reaches 10V. All of the safety features you expect, short circuit protection, overload, low/over voltage, and over temperature. Two built-in cooling fans automatically run when the inverter gets too hot so you can run it for longer in hot conditions. Supplied with heavy duty DC leads and remote control kit.

Practical free power

JulzJanuary 2024

I purchased this unit a year or more ago, running off a 12v solar/ battery system in an off grid shed/ workshop. Primarily used ti run a double barrel 18volt makita charger, (460watts at full noise) this allows me to recharge all my batterys for my drills, blower, brushcutter etc, effectivle letting me run all my power tools for free! I reccomend this unit over the cheaper modified one, as it has cleaner power and much less db's when in operation. One side note, if installing further than half a metre away from the power source, going by the numbers, it needs to have it's input power wire upgraded to 8G wire to safely handle the inbound current.

HalleFebruary 2026

Purchased one of the few months back so far seems to be working well runs all my 240v gizmos perfectly little on the larger size but suits me fine . I purchased on special run out price so even better. I do believe there is a new model being released. Would recommend.

Poor quality, potentially dangerous failure

TimhMarch 2025

I purchased this unit in mid 2023 because starlink wouldn't work with my modified sine wave inverter that I purchased from Jaycar in 2011. It worked well for intermittent camping use until I was using it to power my fridge during cyclone Alfred when I awoke to the strong smell of burning plastic. The unit did not have a fault light on and still had the green led on indicating all was well. However, it no longer made any power. This unit seems to be of much poorer quality compared to the unit I bought in 2011. Very disappointed and do not recommend. I since plugged in my old modified sine wave one and it powers the fridge with no issues.

Works well

MyUPSOctober 2025

I have been running this inverter into a continuous 53 W load as part of a UPS for my home network & phone system for some years now to guard against interruptions from blackouts. It has been faultless. My earlier attempts to run a Powertech MI5728 400W inverter were less successful as it kept overheating and continually ran the internal fan. It pays to run a more efficient unit especially when running off a battery.

great for powering some appliances

found this a great unit to power most house hold items as long its non a large load like high power inductive cook tops that go over the required ratings

Don’t buy Powertech from Jaycar

Unhappy consumerSeptember 2024

Don’t buy it! They have inbuilt obsolescence! Mine lasted 15 months, with terrible customer service from Jaycar. Warranty for 12 months so only 3 months over! Powertech are an Australian company that you can’t contact. I wouldn’t buy any of their products!
