Great features and price on paper. Let down by ear

HarleyMSeptember 2025

Bought on Saturday, dead by Monday. Had it working fine testing a UPS arrangement with about 104W load, fully charged set to slow grid charge (showing around 95W) and a 12v car battery in the solar/car input (showing around 8W). Was working fine in this arrangement until I switched off the grid power. I was hoping to see the load continuing to be powered, but instead everything went off. Worse still, I couldnt restart the unit. Disconnected everything, still no go. I could hear the occassional click every 20 sec or so inside the unit, but no display, wifi or bluetooth, output...nothing! I'll return it and try another hopefully I'll have a more favourable experience with a replacement.

Superb value for money power station

KaranApril 2025

I purchased the 1024Wh unit from Jaycar in NZ during its introductory special price. This is really an excellent value and quality product for the introductory price I paid. The handles are ergonomically placed which makes lifting and carrying this unit so much more comfortable. I have tested the USB C, USB A and AC functionality of the unit so far and all works very well DC charging phones via USB, AC charging LiPO battery of RC crawler. The app is basic but does show what the real time power it is supplying to a port group. The display on the unit is nice and bright. I will look at purchasing a foldable solar blanket of around 400W soon as the unit can support up to 800W of solar charging. I have set the unit to slow charge instead of fast charge via AC which is a lot easier to change via app than figuring out via the buttons on unit itself. LiFePo4 battery was a must for not worrying about thermal runaway fire safety which this power station has thankfully. At it's current normal price its very close to the price of some big name competitors with very similar AC power output ratings athough competitors have couple of less USB ports. Some of the big names competitors do have 5 years warranty. I am not sure to be honest if I had to pay full price for this, whether I would still pick this of a big name competitor as long run reliability of this product and support is to be seen since this has only launched in Australia/NZ market last month. The unit has been sold in US under Oupes Mega 1 where its been proven to be a reliable unit for 7 months atleast and other bigger models have been around for couple of years there with no major issues reported. Iam happy to recommend thsi unit.

Great Portable Unit

ScottyMarch 2025

This unit challenges other comparable units on the market with same or better features and price point. Got an elderly relative who relys on constant power for life saving machines this is ideal as a UPS. Got kids that want to play video games and no room? Set it up in the shed! Got a teenager who likes to have the heater on or fan on in summer? No more family fueds! The fast charging is great! Couple this with power techs foldable blanket and you have the perfect on the go power solution! With 10 years of cycles you are definitely getting your moneys worth! Not to mention saving on power bills!

Powerful device, know it’s limitations

JoshNovember 2025

First I will say that this is an incredibly impressive device. Moved to a property off-grid and needed to run some devices continuously and temporarily, so to depart from the small 2kW petrol inverter that was running 24/7 I bought this to replace it. It didn’t disappoint. After somewhere around 5 months of use while STILL waiting for the electrician to install the solar system (yes they are just that busy), this has got me out of trouble for the basic necessities. I am running fridges, computers, water pumps, all sorts of gear off this thing. But this is where I must impart some important advice here. I have indeed pushed it to its limits and want to make sure what people should expect. This handy and powerful little device is obviously not designed for running your home off it for long periods of time. When you are running all these devices, the voltage across the extension leads drop significantly; dangerously so. To the point where it might fry your sensitive electronics. Not only are the leads not designed for this, but neither are the components in the power station. When a large current draws from the battery, such as an 800W pump or a 70W deep freezer with large surge overhead (1000W), this will result in the lines across all those connected devices to lose incredible amounts of voltage, violently so; at or below 150V. While completely capable on the surface, the components in these portable units ARE NOT DESIGNED to be running such loads. Even the larger models face this problem, they are made with cheaper components than your standard home capable inverters and should be considered a portable device that you use occasionally and as a cleaner and less noisy replacement for your camping genset. All in all, I do not regret this purchase. Mine is coupled with a 2kWh extension battery for a 3072Wh capacity total. It’s worth every penny and has got me out of trouble while waiting patiently for installation. The app could use some work, however. Quite unreliable. But I won’t be removing a star for that. The device deserves its place at 5 stars for its capability as is. Just be aware of its limitations.
