Power bank lithium battery swelling

GriffoJune 2025

Owned for a few years. Wireless charger fairly rapid at charging phones. The solar panel will not recharge this power bank fully and is quite poor. Mine is now swollen and I will have to dispose of it due to the combustion and chemical venting risk. It has worked well for festivals and outdoor use and charged man times, but I don’t recommend you purchase if you have no mains power to recharge the bank. I would rate 3/5, however given without any abuse this water resistant power bank is ready to toss, I fice it a solid 1 star!

Great for camping! Actually solar charges!

AlphaOneZeroMarch 2025

Works really well for what it is. It obviously takes a long time to fully charge via solar, which the store worker helpfully told me was approximately 24 hours in the sun. but it does actually charge with solar unlike other options. Got a lot of device charges out of one charge. Nice and tough exterior so somewhat drop resistant in terms of scratching and breaking. Great for going camping! Would recommend!

Absolute Rubbish

DarrenNovember 2024

Absolute rubbish. Returned one, replacement is just as useless. Takes 3 days in full sun to 1/2 charge. And when connected to phone won’t transfer power from Bank to phone. Absolute rubbish

Awesome

Great light and solar panel power bank. Took it away camping and it performed wonderfully. Kept all my devices charged for weeks. I'm a happy camper.

Defective

LenGJanuary 2025

Doesn't work! The solar panel makes the "charge" light come on, but doesn't charge the battery. Brought it back for replacement, and the replacement one did exactly the same thing

Into the trash it goes

TommoJanuary 2026

Bought one of these on special a few years ago, knowing how handy these can be for keeping phones charged during a blackout. Just checked on it today, and the cells were swollen. I barely used the thing.

Bought this 1 year ago. Its been out getting solar charged and when I connected my iPhone today to charge, it stopped at 54% and then kept reducing down to 42%! DO NOT buy. A waste of money

Rubbish

I took this hiking only charger the phone once befort it went flat. The solar panel is a joke. I left it in full sun all day without any charging of the battery.
