Design flaw, it shouts at you.
It's a 2 star rating because it will drive you crazy. It shouts at you, power on, power off, humidity mode. Always at full volume.
Mostly a good unit
Fairly good volume for only two speakers. Easy to set up. Will need to get a HDMI or Optical cable. Only disadvantage is the loud status voice whenever it powers up, turns off, or when input mode is changed. No volume control on status voice or option to disable. Definitely doesn't need to loudly announce "power off" late at night when the rest of the house is asleep. The loud status voice is the only reason for 4 star, otherwise would have been 5.
Decent but design flaws make it only meh.
Sounds alright, not awesome but not terrible for the price bracket it's in. The major issue is that any input change or power on/off is announced at full volume with an annoying blowen-out synthetic voice. Another wee gripe is the on/source LED is extremely bright. Both those Issues push the review down to two starts. Being able to turn the LED & Voice off would have it at 4 starts.
Worse item ever
Every time we turn the tv off or on it screams out “HDMI POWER ON” or “POWER OFF” so loud it’s become unbelievably annoying. We have now unplugged the unit.
