Great Unit

KCee07June 2025

Ive had one of these for about 2 years to use on my 2008 Santa Fe which didn't have this feature. I and my wife have found it to be a great asset, especially since we are now in our 70s and find it difficult to turn around to check the cars rear. Its been especially good in shopping center's where people randomly walk behind you when reversing without checking themselves. We bought a cheaper model for a different vehicle at the same but another supplier. It randomly doesn't work at all, then comes good . All in all my wife likes the santa fe unit over hers so we are looking around for whats new in the last few years as a new car with all the mod cons isnt on our radar

JUNK !! Don’t waste your money

KellieSeptember 2025

Manufacturer claims this has a distance of up to 100 metres. Our car and caravan have a combined total of no more than 13 metres yet the camera kept freezing up, screen switching on and off, staying off when we turned it on and losing signal more than it had signal. On one occasion, we had pulled over to stretch our legs, our daughter was in the car behind us, yet driving 5 minutes down the road it showed we were still pulled over. At the end of our journey, we swiftly returned it to the store with video evidence we collected on our trip. We now have installed an integrated system and it works very well.

Very disappointed

Freddie56October 2026

Fitted this to my 7.25m Leisureline caravan last week and am very disappointed. Not fit for purpose. Connects easily enough, but screen freezes, then goes black and repeats this sequence for up to 5 mins of the same image. Only 1 x have I seen a moving image on my screen for a 3 second flash. Otherwise I’m only getting static picture. I’m hoping Jaycar will refund my money!!

Great unit, but with its Limitations

NickJanuary 2024

Works fantastic, and the picture is clear and easy to install, the only issues are the antenna is inside the power cable so it is prone to snapping or damage during installation if not cautious and the range is only suitable for the same car or used on a small trailer/fold down camper. not suitable for a large caravan etc

Works well!

Bought this camera to use in a PX Ford Ranger because of the difficulty in seeing behind when reversing. The camera is very easy to install with minimal wiring to connect, it works well, and looks good. Plus it can be moved to another vehicle without much fuss. I'm happy with it.

Complete Rubbish

Bob the BuilderFebruary 2026

Bought this a while ago to use with covered race trailer & Ranger. Total distance between camera & monitor not more than 12.5m, but unless the monitor is within 3m of the camera it's useless. As others have said, it doesn't connect, takes ages to connect, or drops out or seems to hold a frozen picture. I've even played with splicing in an external aerial a bit closer to the monitor but to no avail. Pretty rubbish, save your money and buy a proper RV/Truck system.
