Great except to clear indication of polarity

Is great, a serious gap though is no standardised markings to indicate polarity, assume all plugs are centre positive and hope for the best?

I bought this to replace a power supply that failed after 2 years. Unlike many other power supplies, this does allow you to plug another power cord beside it in a power board. One thing to be aware of is that the tips can only be inserted one way, so the polarity can't be reversed by inserting the tip the other way around. It doesn't say anywhere on the adaptor or packaging what the polarity is. I tested it with a multimeter and found it was tip positive, but because you can't reverse the tip, you can't use it with a device that needs tip negative. I only tested one tip. I assume they're all tip positive, but I would recommend testing the polarity with the tip you need before plugging it into your device. It runs pretty cool with the device I use it for (a 2A device) and seems to be doing a good job, but I've only been using it for a week. I can't comment on the long-term reliability of the adaptor.

12v DC Mains Adapter

Recently imported a Japanese 14th LCD TV from 2004 to suit my Silver Playstation 2 and to complete my Retro Game collection; However - unfortunately the TV Came with a 100v Mains and no 12v cables. After i looked on the internet to find a Nearby Shop that would be able to assist me in the matter; i checked out my Nearby Jaycar shop. Needless to say - i made the appropriate purchase and so far it has served me very well.
