Gone are the days of flooded engines and manual chokes to get your car started, but that pesky battery still has a habit of failing at the most inconvenient of times. This unit is amazing. Barely larger than a smartphone, and probably even lighter, but packs a huge power punch to get your car started. With a peak current available of 400 amps, it’s powerful enough to get just about all but a tank running. Of course, sometimes emergency phone power is just as important as starting a car, so a 5V 2.1A USB port is provided to get you powered back up. It even includes a cigarette lighter socket charging adaptor, so it never has to leave your car (just remember to charge it when your battery is NOT flat!). In case it’s dark, it also incorporates a clever high-power LED, which can operate as a torch or flashing warning light. These devices are now so reliable that similar ones are used by roadside service operations instead of jumping from their own vehicle! If you have more than one vehicle in your family, one for each is a very sound idea.

Overpriced, poor quality.

It was useful a few times to successfully jumpstart but only lasted just over a year before the lithium battery started to leak. Overpriced for what it is, cheaper more reliable units are available elsewhere.

Very handy to have this product in my glovebox. It was a big help to me when my car battery started playing up. Even helped other people had trouble in starting their cars, had the opportunity to tell them where I bought this product from. Charging my mobile when I need to is a bonus. Highly recommended.

Doesn't jump start my car, had to get a passer by to hook up jumper leads. Bought it as I knew in cold mornings my battery struggles to start (low CCA) this didn't help at all. Returning asap.

Great to slowly charge an iPad

I have had this unit for a number of years (purchased from JayCar Castle Hill) but it has failed to work in the four times I have tried to use it to start a vehicle with a flat battery ie 2 x SUV and 2 x Motor bike. On each ocassion, even though the unit showed it was fully charged, it did not have enough grunt to turn over the engine enough to start it. Pretty useless.

simple to use, works amazing on small cars

i gave it 5, simply for the fact it was simple to use and worked perfect on a toyota yaris. came half charged - charged it completely. 4 days later start the car and its barely cranking, plugged the jump leads in, turned the jumper on, hooked to battery...gave it a crank and she roared to life.
