Blanket solar panels are much lighter and take up less space compared to traditional fold-up solar panels. This 12V 200W solar panel weighs just 6.1kg and when not in use, it folds down to just 560mm wide by 390mm high, small enough to easily stow away in a storage cupboard. When you want to use it, simply unfold and lay on the ground or across your car’s windscreen and connect the pre-fitted 4.5 metre extension lead via the high current connectors to your battery system. A charge controller is included, so you can connect directly to lead acid batteries without any additional hardware. The charge controller also includes a USB charging outlet, perfect for charging mobile phones in an emergency. Supplied with a built-in pouch for accessory storage.

Not intended for permanent outdoor installation.

Perfect for small spaces and easily moved

ElleNovember 2025

I've owned this portable solar panel for 2 summers and it's made my camping experience so much better. It recharges my AGM battery which powers a fridge and small devices, even on a cloudy day. It folds up compact and it's not at all heavy. But being portable, it is more fragile than a fixed panel, and there is no self-support so be careful where you hang it. Connections to the MPPT controller failed on the first day and no matter how much I tighten the screw, the positive wire keeps falling out! If I could put it in a fixed position I'm sure it'd be fine.

Would have been better with Lith Charge Controller

ImanJanuary 2024

Decent design at a decent price, though would have been much better with a lithium ready charge controller.

I use this solar blanket to keep my aux battery pumping while out in the great outdoors. Love that it comes with the controller and easy to use Anderson connection. And not to mention compact, I don't have a lot of space, this blanket folds up to the size of a brief case

120w Max ever

Happy CamperApril 2026

Bought one of these in 2023, the most I ever saw out of it in peak summer sun in Queensland was 110-120w! I have a Victron smart shunt in my system so I can measure power accurately. Kind of disappointing. Good thing I got it on sale. It saw a bit of water when my house flooded now down to 60w max. Would not buy again.

Failed after 18 months

Happy camperAugust 2025

Stopped working after 18 months . I look after my equipment very well. So expensive to just fail after warranty expired.
