A compact DC UPS designed to connect inline with your ordinary 12VDC mains power adaptor. In the case of a power outage, the internal battery will keep your equipment operating for longer. Three interchangeable DC connectors are supplied to suit a range of devices such as a modem, network switch, router, video device, surveillance systems or lights. An integrated smart charger ensures the internal 18650 Li-ion batteries are charged, and adjusts the charge current based on the current draw to the device you are powering. The rated output is 2.5A at 12V but 3A can be provided for a short time. Four status LEDs indicate the UPS charge status, and safety features include over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, and short-circuit.

Perfect for NBN Fibre NTD Backup

Pretty Fly for an I.T GuyAugust 2026

I bought this UPS to keep my NBN Fibre NTD running during power outages. My router and Wi-Fi equipment are already protected by a separate UPS that typically provides around 2.5 hours of backup, so I was looking for something compact for the NTD at the other end of the house. Setup was simple using the standard NBN supplied 12V power supply, and I didn't need any of the included adaptors. I've now tested it three times with multiple devices streaming, online gaming and Linux downloads running. Each time the mains power was disconnected, the UPS took over immediately with no interruption to internet connectivity. The low battery warning appeared at around 3.5 hours and the unit continued running for roughly another 40 minutes before shutting down. All three tests produced almost identical results. The biggest surprise was the runtime. I only needed around 2.5 hours to match my main UPS, but this unit consistently delivered a little over 4 hours. It also sits neatly on top of the NTD and takes up very little space. As an added bonus, I found that some of my existing 12V accessories, including my GME handheld UHF charger, can be used with the supplied adaptor tips, giving even more options during an extended outage. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to keep their NBN Fibre service online during a blackout.

Does the job perfectly

Excellent product to solve a simple problem ! Do to the fact that we live in a blind spot and rely on mobiles with WIFI call which will stop working when there is a power cut, I thought therefore that it was a good idea to use my Telstra points and get a modem and phone station UPS until I realized that without a UPS on the NBN modem it was not be of any help. This simple plug in line UPS solves the challenge
