Overheats like it has COVID
Just awful. Didn't even last one small job. I have bought a much cheaper, battery operated unit from Temu that is far more powerful and better built and works brilliantly. Similar story with soldering irons. Jaycar needs to up its quality when it comes to sourcing tools.

i bought this Dremel tool and i find it absolutely crap i was over sold a product that is only a 2 stars quality there is no way to contact the manufacturer via email, phone or have a website this manufacturer is dodgy i had contact jaycar customer service who investigate this manufacturer and the quality control team as this product has been around since 2012, from looking @ this reviews the product has very little likes and a lot of complaints. This product has very little information on its parts list as a manual to see what parts are what how they supposed be used not just that but the metal cutting discs are poor quality and brittle and snap easily for metal cutting disc that have far more rigity to is construction. NOT WORTH WHAT YOU PAY FOR THIS ITEM $50-$60 FOR THE 110 PIECE OR THE 210 PIECE SETS DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TOOL YOU WILL BE DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PURCHASE FROM JAYCAR AND THEY OVER SOLD THE PRODUCT WHEN ITS NOT WORTH IT.
Sorry to say that it's not great quality at all
I Never leave reviews and I really hate leaving a negative one but I bought this only a couple days ago and I've already gone out and bought a different one (ryobi - so far so good) after doing some light work, the entire body of the tool heats up to a level where it physically will burn you and it hurts to touch it at all. If you take it apart, you'll see the thin plastic shell just encases the motor with no insulation at all. I've also got one of the bits stuck because the button you press to hold the shaft steady so you can unscrew it doesn't do the job very well. I've taken the whole thing apart and I've had to use two sets of pliers so that I can get the bit out. Ironically though it hasn't done a very good job of holding on to the bits until now, it doesn't take long before the bit starts rattling around in a wide circle before falling out completely. I will say the actual bits (especially ones for engraving type of work) are great and I'm using them in my new tool.
Buy Cheap... Buy Twice.
I bought this about six months ago and have used it maybe a dozen times. Even after that little amount of use the power switch has already broken making it unusable.

Super forgiving when it comes to overloading the motor I have had one for over 5 years and it still works great
