The compact construction uses surface mount technology and a powerful internal cooling system to deliver a highly flexible power source. With ripple voltage a tiny 1mV, you know you’re getting precisely the voltage required, reducing the risk of burnout or damage when testing and prototyping sensitive components. Output voltage is adjustable from 0 to 30VDC, and output current can be limited between 0 and 5A. Banana plug/binding posts provide output on the front of the unit, while a bright LED display keeps you informed. Includes a short banana to alligator lead set.

great little lab power supply

found this to be a great unit to test items at different voltages as required in a lab environment or on the test bench upto 30volts at 5amps. this unit is also handy if you want to tinker in anodizing or electroplating

Old school type workhorse

This little Lab power supply is probably one of the better one from Jaycar. Old school EI core transformer inside, ripple is fairly low, voltage and current outputs are also fairly accurate. The cooling fan on the other hand drives me crazy, just too loud. I have 2 of these wired up a bipolar power supply to power a power amp I was breadboarding, couldn't hear the music in low vol. A couple of silent fans got the issue sorted. Not a bad budget entry level lab power supply.
